 HOW IT WORKS

There are three main parts of the Catalyst Flow Alarm:
     The Control/Horn Box
     The Resin Fluid Switch
     The Catalyst Fluid Switch

The Resin Fluid Switch is installed between the resin filter outlet and the resin fluid line going to the spray gun.  Its main operation is to turn the alarm on when the pump is running and to activate the horn when the catalyst flow rate changes.
The Catalyst Fluid Switch is adjustable so that the sensor position coincides with your present catalyst flow.  It is installed in the catalyst line between the catalyst fluid hose and the catalyst manifold after any pressure reliefs. Its main function is to detect any catalyst flow changes.
The Control/Horn Box is installed with the horn outlet facing the operator.  It is available in a number of decibel levels for small to large shops.
Basically, if the Resin Fluid Switch is “on”, and the catalyst is not flowing, the horn will sound.  It will let the operator know:
  1) if the catalyst jug is empty...constant sound
  2) if there is air in the line...intermittent sound
  3) if the catalyst pump fails totally...constant sound
  4) if the catalyst pump fails on one stroke...long sound
  5) if the catalyst tip is plugged...constant sound
  6) if the catalyst flow rate changes...constant sound
